Call To Police - Stops Youths On High Powered Bikes In Upminster

Thanks to the member of public who called police today to report males on these bikes (pictured) in Upminster today, fearing they were in the area to commit crime.

Officers from Havering Joint Taskforce and Romford Town Centre Team headed to the area and spotted them without helmets and riding on pavements.

Officers utilised tactics to stop the bikes with one male making off on foot, but was quickly detained.

Whilst no other crimes had been reported to police, two youths were reported for various driving offences and will appear before the courts. The two bikes have been seized and are off the streets of Havering.
