Safer Business Action Week

Officers from cluster 4, Lansbury Limehouse and Poplar were carrying out plain clothes patrols in relation to Safer Business Action Week .

Patrols were carried out around Chrisp Street Market and surrounds. At approximately 09:30 hrs officers have become aware of a group known to the police, congregating outside Essex house Giraud Street they appeared the exchange something between them which was believed to be drugs. Two of the group were detained and one of these detained persons was recognised as outstanding shoplifter on a VCT linked series of jobs. Thefts totalling over 3k. He was arrested. 

Patrols around Chrisp Street Market and surrounds were continued by officers. At approximately 13:30hrs a group were seen in the park outside Essex house Giraud street, two males were detained. One of these males was recognised as outstanding shoplifter on a VCT linked series of jobs. Thefts totalling over 2k. He was arrested.
