Ashbourne SNT Today we've been at Sainsbury's Ashbourne supporting their event for Respect Shop Workers Week, alongside Katie, our Hate Crime Coordinator from Derbyshire Constabulary. This week is led by Sainsbury's to high light the importance of treating retail workers with respect and kindness, especially as we head towards the busy Christmas period. Staff have been engaging with shoppers, giving out freebies, and running short surveys to hear people's views on Derbyshire Alert and the experiences of those who've worked in retail and faced abuse . We're proud to support this initiative and work in partnership with Sainsbury's to raise awareness around hate crime and promote a safe, respectful environment for everyone. Retail workers deserve to feel safe at work, no one should be abused for doing their job.
