Remembrance Day |

|
This weekend, officers from our local policing team were proud to support two important Remembrance events within our community.
In the morning, we joined local schoolchildren, scouts and guides at the Woodcote Village Green memorial for a morning service that included a poem read by the pupils. The parade to the memorial was a wonderful show of respect and unity, and we were honoured to be part of it.
Later in the afternoon, officers attended the service at Kenley Aerodrome, where we joined the local residents and members of the resident Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAFAC) squadron. Both events were a heartfelt reminder of the sacrifices made by so many.
PC Pitt laid a wreath on behalf of the police at both ceremonies, paying tribute to those who have served. The rest of the team were on hand to support the smooth running of the events and to help ensure the safety of everyone attending.
We would like to thank all who took part and those who came along to pay their respects. It was a privilege to stand alongside our community in remembrance. | ||
