Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team

Dear resident

Hope you are all well and having a good start to your week.

Here’s a quick roundup from your local policing team of some of the work we have been doing over the couple of weeks in the Birchills & Leamore Ward on behalf of your Designated Neighbourhood Police officer PC Ben Rowberry-

Patrols have been conducted in the Remington Road area of Beechdale- notable signs of fly tip and fires being set were noted- further information was also received regarding the use of off-road bikes. The team will continue the patrols.

The team have also attended and patrolled Jones House, Penkridge St in response to concerns raised regarding rough sleeping at the location. The team have worked with WHG who manage the location and organised a fob which allows the team access to patrol both inside the block and outside.

The team also located and arrested a male wanted for a few shop thefts across the borough and for recall to prison in the Miner St area of Birchills/Leamore. (26/10/25)

A female was spotted by PCSOs in the Green Lane area of Birchills who was wanted for x4 fail to appear offences (03/11/25), the team were assisted by our response officers who were able to secure the arrest and take her into custody.

PCSOs attended the cuppa with a copper at Richards House, Birchills (04/11/25).

If you do receive an unexpected caller at the door do not feel pressured to answer it

If you are expecting a delivery or visit from a professional always ask for ID or confirmation of their workplace.

If you have a door chain, make sure it is securely fastened at all times and lock your porch door

Be sure to use your spy hole viewer if you have one. If you have one, talk through your wireless video doorbell
