Dear Residents, Here’s a brief snippet of what our Smethwick Neighbourhood Team have been up to this week: What’s been happening Local Smethwick PCSO’s have been conducting Early morning patrols of primary schools, we have asked a few people to move their vehicles to help the flow of traffic management this went well, and the parents were left feeling safe. No further issues with parents having restricted views of the road ahead when they are walking their children to school today. Smethwick town PCSO’s went to visit St Albans and have booked future dates for events at this establishment for the local community to talk to some groups about home safety during all times and to darker nights approaching. Officers have Visited North Smethwick Resource Centre and spoken with the manager making sure everyone is keeping safe and well. Officers and PCSO’s owners have been Patrolling Bearwood high street talking to local businesses about shop the antisocial behaviour that we are working together in minimising to rectifying in this area. Local PCSO’s have been visiting places of worship across Smethwick offering reassurance welfare checks to support all communities who attend these places of worship and the wider communities. Smethwick town officers have been conducting Patrols of our local parks have been taking place namely Warley woods and West Smethwick Park spoken to local communities who walked the dogs and who come out for morning walks you were happy to see the police patrolling the park’s. Smethwick town neighbourhood team also would like to announce that we have a new member of PCSO’s for Smethwick area, and we all welcome the new member of staff. |
