Safe Havens information |
Safe havens are: •a practical way of helping everyone in Islington enjoy their community knowing that support is easily available if they need help. • •Safe Havens are places where people can go if they feel in danger, if they are lost, if they need someone to call their emergency contact, the police or ambulance or just need a place to rest for a moment.
Safe Havens are not: •A solution to prevent crime or fear of crime •An acceptance of violence or criminal behaviour •A replacement for the prevention of criminality
Safe Havens can help by: •Providing a friendly face and reassurance •Calling the police or family and friends •Simply giving local advice such as transport information • There are almost 300 across the borough and we are looking to sign up more.
