We’re committed to keeping our community safe, and we’d like to share some important crime prevention advice to help protect your home from burglary:

🔒 Secure Doors & Windows
Always lock all doors and windows, even when you're at home. Use deadbolts and consider upgrading to anti-snap locks.

💡 Use Lighting Wisely

Install motion-activated lights outside and use timer switches indoors to give the impression someone is home.

📷 Install CCTV or Video Doorbells

Visible security cameras or smart doorbells can deter burglars and help gather evidence if needed.

🌳 Keep Gardens Tidy
Trim hedges and trees to eliminate hiding spots. Lock away tools and ladders that could be used to gain access.

🚪 Don’t Leave Spare Keys Outside
Burglars know all the common hiding places. Leave spare keys with a trusted neighbour instead.

📦 Be Careful with Deliveries
Avoid leaving parcels in plain sight. Consider using secure drop boxes or delivery instructions.

👀 Join or Start a Neighbourhood Watch
Looking out for each other makes a big difference. Report suspicious activity to police via 101 or online.
