Thefts from Outbuildings and Sheds

Dear Resident

With the darker nights drawing in we have sadly started to see an increase in shed breaks and thefts from outbuildings around the area, particularly our more rural locations. 

It is always a good idea to refresh your knowledge on security and take a look at your home from the perspective of a burglar. 

It may not seem obvious, but protecting your garden and outbuildings like sheds not only keeps bikes and other valuables safe, but can also stop burglars accessing tools to get into your home.

Do you have enough lighting?

Are you leaving tools out which can be used to force entry?

Are your hedges creating a blind spot so offenders can work without being seen?
