Knife Amnesty Event – Swinton Square Precinct
📅 Date: Tuesday, 18th November
Local officers will be hosting a knife amnesty, offering a safe and anonymous opportunity to surrender knives and other bladed items. This initiative aims to reduce knife crime and promote community safety.
Good afternoon residents of Swinton, Wardley, Clifton & Pendlebury.
Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team will be out in the community supporting Knife Crime awareness.
This is a great chance for people who wish to hand in any unwanted bladed articles anonymously and get them disposed of safely.
Any items being dropped off in this way will be confidential and no details are taken, ensuring that this remains completely anonymous.
When transporting knives or any bladed articles to one of our amnesties please remember to transport it in a secure container or have it well wrapped up in cardboard with strong tape.
Are you concerned that someone is carrying a knife then you can let crime stoppers know anonymously on 0800 555 111 or you can contact GMP using 101 or our live chat service.
People who carry knives for their own protection have a higher chance of getting hurt by their own knife, so working together we can make the streets of Swinton and Salford a safer place for everyone to live and work.
Should you have any questions or concerns please come and speak to one of the Neighbourhood Beat officers who look forward to meeting you. We hope to see you there.
Kind Regards
Officer 72143 Zaib Amirat | ||
