Good afternoon, Prynhawn da
This week Gower Neighbourhood Policing Team have been very busy with our “Op Bang” campaign, which consists of high visibility patrols during Halloween and Bonfire night. Deterring any anti social behaviour or disorder and keeping our communities safe.
In the SKETTY area, we have received further complaints of a vehicle obstruction, we are aware of this vehicle and are investigating matters further. Thank you to those who have used this service to highlight the obstruction, please be reassured the matter is in hand, and I take your concerns very seriously.
Cold callers are still targeting areas, CHERRY GROVE residents have reported males going door to door, asking questions about how many occupants live at the property, showing a QR code, all of which is concerning. One resident was very intimidated and we urge you not to engage with anyone you do not know who calls at your door.
We have also had a report of a male that was loitering out side an address, in the CARNGLAS area, that went on to ring the doorbell of a particular property when he realised the female was alone inside. Be vigilant for any strange behaviour, please report via 101. Again, NEVER answer the door to anyone you do not know.
Please note, I am receiving reports via this messaging service, whilst I am responsive on here, this is not a method of reporting, as it is not always monitored, due to rest days or annual leave. Calls also need to be graded by our Service Centre.
Please ring 101, I appreciate some of you have had some difficulty getting through, please note there is a QR code that takes you to our website that provides a reporting tool online. Or you can search South Wales Police online and report this way.
I am always grateful for your messages, but reporting must be done via the above methods. Thank you .
Have a safe and happy weekend Diolch, Mel
