Crime Prevention Reminder

Dear Residents,

As the darker nights draw in, Northamptonshire Police would like to remind residents of the importance of taking extra precautions to keep your home, belongings, and loved ones safe. Burglary can have a lasting emotional impact on victims, but by taking some simple steps, you can significantly reduce the chances of becoming a target. 

Our aim is to work together as a community to make our neighbourhoods safer. Many burglaries are opportunistic, with offenders taking advantage of unlocked doors, open windows, or valuables left in plain sight. A few small changes to your daily routine can make a big difference.

Crime Prevention Reminder:

A quick reminder to everyone to keep homes and vehicles secure, especially as the darker evenings draw in.

•             Lock doors and windows even when you’re at home

•             Don’t leave valuables on display in vehicles

•             Keep lights on timers if you’re out in the evening

Small steps like these really do make a big difference in preventing opportunistic crime.
