As we celebrate Bonfire Night, your safety is our priority. Here are some key tips to help you enjoy the evening responsibly:

🔥 Fireworks & Bonfires

Only attend organised displays where possible.

If using fireworks at home, follow the Firework Code and keep a bucket of water nearby.

Never return to a lit firework and always supervise children around fireworks and sparklers.

🏠 Home Safety

Keep doors and windows locked if you're out enjoying displays.

Don’t leave valuables on display – opportunistic thieves may take advantage of empty homes.

🚗 Vehicle Security

Park in well-lit areas and remove valuables from view.

Double-check your vehicle is locked before leaving it.

🐾 Pet Safety

Keep pets indoors and create a quiet space for them.

Close curtains and play calming music to reduce stress from loud noises.

📞 Report Concerns If you see any suspicious behaviour or have concerns about safety in your area, please report it via the Met website or call 101. In an emergency, always dial 999.
