Community Speed Watch

This morning PCSO Bex joined the Community Speed Watch on New Road Liskeard. This ran from 08:30 - 09:30

There were 213 vehicles that passed the speed watch 

4 vehicles were recorded exceeding the 30mph speed limit doing speeds between 35 & 38mph

These motorists will be receiving a letter explaining that they have been recorded as speeding and given education as a way of a positive outcome. 

The Community Speed Watch is operated by volunteers who are dedicated to their communities and ensuring our roads are safe for all road users and pedestrians. Residents often raise concerns of speeding vehicles to Police at our local surgeries and to the Town Council. Therefore there is a need for the Community Speed Watch to operate in our area. This area is frequently used by children walking to school or catching buses to college, its vital road users adhere to the speed limits.
