Full Closure Order on a ASB demanding address.

I wanted to send a quick update to let you know about some recent police and council action in your area.

For several months, the police, Bolton at Home, and the council have been working closely with residents of Blackshaw House to address ongoing issues linked to one particular property. This address had unfortunately become a hotspot for nuisance, crime, and antisocial behaviour. Thanks to the genuine courage shown by local residents and the strong partnership between agencies, we were able to build a solid case that was taken to Magistrates Court in October.

I'm very pleased to share that on 22nd October 2025, the court granted a full closure order for the problematic address at Blackshaw House. This means both the tenant and the issues associated with the property have now been removed from the area. This is a real turning point for Blackshaw House, and it demonstrates just how effective we can be when the community and agencies work together.

A huge thank you goes out to all the residents, as well as the teams at the council and Bolton at Home. We’ve already seen a noticeable drop in reports of antisocial behaviour, which we believe is a direct result of these efforts. While there’s still more work to do, we’re committed to further improvements in the coming months, with additional measures being discussed to make the area safer and more enjoyable for everyone.
