Doorstep Pedlars

We have had reports that Quarndon & Duffield are being targeted by doorstep pedlars, it is just a short distance to Kilburn which may be targeted next. These Pedlars are offering small household products for sale typically tea-towels, dishcloths etc. These items are sold at over-inflated prices. It is common for them to claim to be ex-convicts attempting to mend their ways, however there is no such recognised rehabilitation scheme.

Please warn your neighbours, particularly elderly or vulnerable neighbours, not to open the door to strangers or buy or sell on the doorstep. 

Please keep in mind that if cold callers don’t get any sales in your area, they are less likely to return.
