Over recent weeks, residents had raised concerns regarding the use of adapted push bikes and their involvement in Anti-Social activity in our local area. In response to this, your local team were proactive in the area, which resulted in the seizure of an adapted push bike, captured in the image below. The electric motor fitted to this bike meant it was capable of reaching speeds of 40mph, making it a danger to pedestrians, other road users and the rider themselves. Please share this message with friends and family as it is illegal to have a push bike, capable of being propelled over 15.5mph without pedalling. We don't want people to fall foul of these laws at Xmas time when gifting these bikes to others, as it will be expensive mistake should it then be seized by Police! Thanks, PC Chadwick.
