Burglaries Near You

Dear Resident

There have been several burglaries in the area over the past few days. We’re here to let you know how to protect yourself and ask you to report any suspicious behaviour. 

If you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check your locks. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image)

Do you have French doors? Invest in a PAT Lock. This is a police tested and approved form of security, which is also accredited by Secured By Design. This is cheaper than having to replace the locks on both doors. 

Keep all valuables in a properly fitted safe, where possible. Never leave them on display or in a jewellery box on show. Put them somewhere only you would least expect someone to find them.

Always set your alarm, even when going to bed. You don’t need to spend £100’s to secure your home with alarms. You can install window vibration sensors that can be bought from many security websites and are easy to install.

Report anything suspicious to the Police. Should you have any information about either burglary please contact us on 101.
