Good evening

Your local Delves neighbourhood team have been busy out and about over the last few days carrying out  a variety tasks/logs/calls to service from residents in the location we cover.

Friday we dropped into Walsall football club were walsall council held a Listen and Learn event.

Saturday we joined our local paddock councillor at United Reform Church were they hold a  Council surgery for local residents.

Officers from the team arrested a high profile offender who was wanted for several offences in the local area

Officers from the team stopped a vehicle that was looking very suspicious. The person stopped was known to police and on a search of the vehicle a Rambo knife and another offence weapons was located within the vehicle, ( Arrest made ).

Several stop searches have been conducted by officers for various reasons.

High visibility patrols have been carried out in all areas of our beat by all officers on the team.

As the nights are drawing keep crime prevention at the front of your minds. Ensure the following:

If you have a porch at the front of your property please ensure it is locked. ( To many residents leave them open )

If you have Dawn to Dusk lighting please ensure it is operating correctly. Good security lighting can make a huge difference. 

House alarms, please ensure they are on when the house is unoccupied and if possible leave alarm on down stairs when you go to bed.

Ensure garden shed and garden tools are locked and secure.

Ensure side gates are locked.

The above are all little things but can make a big difference regards crime prevention.
