Keeping safe on Bonfire Night

We, your local Neighbourhood Police Officers want all our residents to enjoy bonfire night safely, whether that be at home or at an organised display.

As we celebrate Bonfire Night on Wednesday, please remember these important safety tips to keep everyone safe:

🔥 Fireworks Safety

Only buy fireworks from licensed sellers

Follow the instructions carefully

Keep fireworks away from buildings, trees, and vehicles

Never return to a lit firework

🔥 Bonfire Safety

Build bonfires well away from houses, sheds, fences, and trees

Never use petrol or other flammable liquids to start a fire

Keep a bucket of water or a hose nearby

🚨 Be Considerate

Let your neighbours know if you plan to have fireworks

Respect local laws and time restrictions
