Monthly Community Update from Sgt Bridgewater

Hello Resident,

I hope this message finds you well. As we move into November, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.

🔍 Local Priorities

Our current focus areas include:

• Dangerous parking - Main target areas include Formans Road and surrounding roads
• Use and Supply of Nitrous Oxide – We are working closely with the local council and trading standards to tackle premises found selling nitrous oxide but also educating and prosecuting individuals found using this substance illegally.
• Anti-social behaviour in Sparkhill Park 

We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise.

🤝 Partnership Working

We’ve been working closely with:

• Waste Enforcement – Seizing vehicles involved in Fly-Tipping offences across the ward
• Streetwatch – Joint patrols with Sparkhill Springers
• Turnaround – Tackling identified issues within Sparkhill Park

These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs.

📅 Upcoming Police & Community Engagements 📅

​We have booked a series of 'Cuppa with a Copper' sessions where you can come along for a chat with your local officers. All events will be held at St Johns Church, St Johns Road between 11:00am - 1:00pm on the following dates:

We have also booked the following crime prevention surgeries where we will be giving practical crime prevention advice, leaflets and free home security items:

B&M, Stratford Road, Hall Green - Monday 10 November 2025, between 11:00am – 12:30pm

Aldi, Stratford Road, Hall Green – Friday 21 November 2025, between 3:00pm – 16:30pm

Aldi, Stratford Road, Hall Green – Wednesday 17 December 2025, between 11:00am – 12:30pm.
