Theft of trailer

🚨 Community Alert: Trailer Theft Reported

On the 30/10/2025 police received a report from a local resident in Wormelow that their trailer had been de coupled from their vehicle and stolen overnight. From subsequent inquiries police were able to recover the trailer and return to its owner in part due to the owner having installed a GPS tag which was able to give police the trailers location.

•     Use heavy-duty locks: Secure the hitch and wheels with high-quality locks or clamps.
•     Install motion-activated lighting: Bright lights can deter thieves from approaching your property.

•     Park strategically: Position trailers in well-lit, visible areas or behind locked gates.
•     Use GPS tracking devices: These can help locate your trailer if stolen.
•     Check your CCTV: Regularly review footage and ensure cameras are functioning properly.
•     Report suspicious activity: Share concerns with neighbours or local authorities promptly.
