Local Priorities Violence against women and girls Message

I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

On Monday 27th October, Ealing Safer Neighbourhood team joined Ealing Eagles for a dusk run around Ealing Broadway and Northfields. This was to raise awareness about women's safety concerns regarding outdoor exercise over the darker months and was in support of 'This Girl Can' and 'Lift the Curfew' Campaigns. Police officers will be taking part in a further 3 more evening and morning runs throughout November and December.

Information that members of the public supply either through Street Safe, Crime Stoppers or through www.met.police.uk is all used to create a bigger picture of local issues and is used to inform our patrol strategy.

On Thursday 20th November officers will be at Haven Green (Ealing Broadway, W5) from 5pm-6pm to engage with members of the public on this issue. Please come along if you would like to meet us in person and share your concerns and/or ideas.
