End of 6’s (Weekly update) Dear Members, Here’s a quick round up from the Acocks Green neighbourhood policing team. Officers have been extremely busy this week with Diary car and helping with emergency calls for service (backfilling response). IT doesn't seem long ago that we were enjoying days of endless sunshine, and long light evenings. As the days become shorter many people will still be out when darkness falls. The shorter days can be used by burglars to help identify potential targets, as a property in darkness is more likely to be unoccupied. There is a solution to this. The use of a simple plug in timer, or more advanced app based system to time lights to come on as darkness falls in turn making a property appear occupied, and so less of a target. So the message is simple: Lock up lights on!
