Theft from Motor Vehicle

Alexandra Park Ward has had several reported Theft from Motor Vehicles of rear parcel shelves between 22nd – 24th October 2025.

Targeted patrols have increased including plain clothes patrols. Our team is receiving useful information around Thefts but would encourage dialling 999 if a crime is in progress. Even if the suspects have left the scene. Providing direction of travel including any further information, clothing worn, vehicle involved etc 

Further to the above please stay vigilant and follow the crime prevention advice below.

1) Always ensure you lock your vehicle, even if you only intend to be away from it for a short period.

2) Fully close all windows and the sunroof to prevent ‘fishing’.

3) If parked overnight, remove the parcel shelf from your vehicle and leave it indoors.

4) If possible, park your vehicle in well-lit or busy areas or under CCTV coverage. Especially when parking overnight.
