| Silhill WMnow Update | ||
| Good evening, Here is your update for the Silhill area, including a thankfully short crime update.
 Crime Update: There has been an attempt burglary on Lode Lane whereby unknown offenders have cut through a chain securing a fence at the location in the early hours of Sunday the 26th of October. The offenders have attempted to steal a JCB commercial vehicle but have failed to take the vehicle before making off.
 Good News: The team have been out and about a lot over the weekend and this week targeting our burglary hotspots in the area. We have been using unmarked and marked cars when out and about to try and catch and or deter. This is paying off with no vehicle crime reported to us in the area since we started this intensification and no residential burglaries. Whilst out and about we have also been targeting ASB while the school half term is ongoing making sure that we can keep a lid on any poor behaviour in the area. The team have made a number of arrests throughout the past few days including one for theft and one for a high-risk domestic abuse offence. I would like to thank everyone who attended our Beat Surgery at the Hub on Saturday the 25th. It was nice to offer the opportunity for darker nights and ASB reassurance to all those who attended.
 Crime Prevention and Useful Links: Please take a moment to have a look at the West Midlands Police guide to fireworks and the laws that surround them. West Midlands Fire Service also offer a helpful guide that is well worth a read. We also have a useful guide around darker nights and Halloween which I would encourage all concerned residents to visit here.
 I hope you all have a safe time over Halloween and Bonfire Night and I look forward to getting in touch again soon. | ||
