| This is a reminder of a message sent to you a couple of weeks ago; please read and try to make time to attend this meeting that is important for Neighbourhood Watch members and all those who like to live in a safe and crime free environment. Yours Jill    Hello to all members in the Cinderford Area   I am inviting you to an important meeting to be held on 18th November at The Wesley, Bellevue Road, from 7 pm.  The attached poster has all the details. Neighbourhood Watch has two aims - to reduce the fear of crime and to make people feel safe.  As an organisation it cannot do anything: it is only as effective as the volunteers that form the schemes at grass roots level.  That is why you are all such a vital  part of the fight against crime. A new group is being formed in the town centre with the help of your County Councillor, Ray Donoghue, to address the issues in that area. This is its inaugural meeting and your presence as existing scheme coordinators will be invaluable to share experiences and expertise.  It will also give me the opportunity to meet you all and introduce a new way of working , by linking your schemes so that you can pass messages quickly to advise of suspicious individuals/vehicles and other events that may result in  crime!  By forming this network we will be much more effective in fulfilling the organisation's aims and in reducing crime.  Please come along to be part of Neighbourhood Watch in the Cinderford area and help to make your town the best place to live. I look forward to meeting you all on the night and to your contribution to the evening. Regards Jill Croxall Chairman West Glos NHW Association.     |
