| Solo Patrol in Acton – Community Safety Update from PC Dave Loveday Today I conducted a solo patrol across Acton, focusing on key areas where we’ve seen persistent issues with anti-social behaviour and drug use. While solo patrols can limit the scope of enforcement, they remain a vital part of our visibility and engagement strategy—especially when it comes to early intervention and deterrence. 🔍 Targeting Repeat OffendersOne of my primary objectives was locating a known individual—nicknamed “Lime Bike Man”—who has been repeatedly causing disruption in the area. I’ve prepared a Community Protection Notice (CPN) which, once served, will prohibit him from entering large parts of Acton. Breaching this notice will make him liable for arrest. I’ll share further details once the notice is officially issued.

🌧️ Balancing Compassion and StandardsAs the weather turns colder and wetter, we remain mindful of the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals. However, we also have a duty to uphold community standards and ensure public spaces remain safe and welcoming for everyone.
🎃 Looking AheadWith Halloween and Bonfire Night approaching, our team will be shifting focus to support safe trick-or-treating and manage fireworks-related activity. These events bring joy to many, but also require careful planning and presence to prevent disorder.
Solo patrols are about presence, prevention, and engagement. While they may not allow for deeper enforcement, they play a crucial role in keeping our streets safe and maintaining trust with the community.
