Good evening, Fordbridge residents.
I hope you are all doing well and are staying safe as we enter darker nights and bonfire night, as well as Halloween being just around the corner.
It has been a busy set for our officers regarding tackling anti-social behaviour in our parks, woodland, and the bus interchange as patrols are increasing in our hot-spot areas to keep you all reassured and safe.
Our officers had received a call for service to the Chelmsley Wood bus interchange in regard to reports of criminal damage to a bus which resulted in one offender being placed under arrest for criminal damage and threats with a bladed article in a public place, who is now assisting with our enquiries – this is a great result based on the hard work we do with our partners, including security and bus companies.
Officers have constantly been on the interchange with darker nights on the rise, reminding youths of the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) and have constantly been educating youths in regard to this to deter and prevent Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) from taking place.
Additionally, our officers have placed a suspect under arrest for breaching a court order and they are now assisting with our enquiries.
