nuisance ringing of doorbells/ knocking on doors or windows.

Tonight we have received reports of young people knocking on doors, windows of properties and ringing doorbells in a nuisance manner in the area.

Whilst this may seem fun and harmless, for some residents this causes worry, stress and can cause those with mobility struggles unnecessary difficulties. 

If you have children we ask that you speak with them to consider the impact of such behaviours upon others and discourage them from “having fun” at the expense of other people. 

If you are impacted by anti-social behaviour please do not respond to the suspects as this may encourage them to continue or provoke escalation.

Police will be patrolling the area and action will be taken with anybody causing a nuisance.
