Rick and Lee were back out today, with open space patrols and after-school robbery, both ward priorities, in the crosshairs (7.87 miles).
With Storm Benjamin still loitering in the background, 1.89 miles of the Eastbrookend Country Park (p) and Footpath 18 (e1.17pm) was covered from the off, before visiting all of Parish Fields (1.55pm, p) via Eastbrook Drive and Great Cullings.
Harveys Lane (2.29pm) and a loop around Gorseway and Lincoln Avenue followed.
It was then into Central Park (3.08pm, p), via Fourth Avenue, in time for the end of the school day, and back out through Fels Field, adding another 1.62 miles to the team's open space coverage.
"Foot patrol isn't glamorous, but it is a pillar of neighburhoods policing and this team. I'm pleased that Lee, as a new officer barely a year old in the Met, has shown willing to get out there shift after shift and get the mileage in. It's usually either hot and sweaty or cold and wet but Eastbrook is a foot patrol team." -Rick (7199EA) |
