🚨 Community Alert: Harecoursing & Lamping Activity – Bathley/Muskham Area

We’re asking residents in and around North Muskham and Bathley to remain vigilant following several reports of illegal harecoursing and lamping activity late at night.

What’s Happening?
Groups using quad bikes, trailers, and high-powered lights have been seen accessing fields off Crow Lane, Vicarage Lane, and Bathley Lane between 10:00pm and 1:00am. 

These activities are illegal, damage is being caused to crops, fencing is being damaged and there are animal welfare offences regarding the use of dogs and the animals being hunted.

What to look out for:

🚨 If you see a Crime in progress – call 999 immediately (I.E you can see it happening right now)
📞 For non-urgent reports, call 101 or report online at nottinghamshire.police.uk

If safe to do so, note vehicle descriptions, number plates, and direction of travel.

These incidents often involve organised criminal groups and often go hand in hand with other incidents such as criminal damage, farm breaks and vehicle thefts.
