Scam alert

We are aware of a scam circulating in your area. 
 

There has been an increase of courier fraud and phone scams in the area, victims are being asked to purchase pay cards for various amounts and then told that someone will attend the address to hand over a cheque for a large amount of money. 

If you are asked to purchase any of these cards hang up straight away. If they ask for personal details and you are not sure if they are the legitimate company hang up and if possible use another phone and search for the company and it's number. 

You can contact your phone provider and ask them to put a blocker on the phone to prevent these calls from coming through.   
 

Please help us raise awareness of this scam by informing your elderly or vulnerable relatives, friends and neighbours.
