As we approach the exciting occasions of Halloween and Bonfire Night, we would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone stay safe and to be considerate of those around them during this period.
While festivities may be enjoyable for many, it is essential to recognise that they can have adverse effects on certain individuals, particularly those who are vulnerable. When taking part in trick-or-treating, please ensure that you are accompanied by an adult and that you only visit homes that are considered safe and known to you. We kindly request that you do not visit homes of elderly individuals or those known to be vulnerable, especially if they display 'No Trick or Treating' signs. Such actions can cause distress and anxiety, which may lead to health concerns and could be perceived as engaging in anti-social behaviour (ASB).
We encourage everyone to enjoy the festivities responsibly and to not cross the line to ASB.
Should you require a printed 'no trick or treat' poster please contact your local safer neighbourhood team who would be more than happy to assist.
Thank you for helping to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
