Vehicle Crime around ROH and B & Q

Good afternoon, from your local Coldhurst & Westwood Policing Team.

Over the past few months I've mentioned a Car Crime issue right across the Oldham Borough, and unfortunately Coldhurst is currently 3rd on the Oldham Car Crime list with the key areas being car parks, around Oldham Hospital, B&Q, Premier Inn 

Offenders are pulling alongside the targeted vehicle and either breaking into the vans such as Ford Transit and stealing their tools or whatever valuables they have in the rear, or in the case of cars like Toyota's, they actually take the car itself.

Please try to use stering locks when possible and leave your vehicle in plain sight, preferably where there are plenty of people passing and therefore could potentially witness any offences.

In these car parks alone, we've so far had 10 cars this month either stolen or broken in to. So please be vigilant and pass on the information to colleagues, Friends and Family.
