Halloween |

Halloween is coming up, a time for young people to dress up and enjoy the fun of the day/ evening. We are very aware that some in our communities will not want to participate in the celebrations, and that some will physically dread the door knocking. Those more vulnerable in our community can find anyone knocking on their doors quite frightening particularly in the hours of darkness. We want those who want to participate to stay safe and look out for each other. We would ask for some basic considerations. Children should always be accompanied by and adult Only go to the addresses of people you know or that indicate they are happy for a visit. They may have a pumpkin outside, a lantern up or some spooky decorations. Stay safe and keep to places you know and are well lit Watch out for traffic, drivers may not see you particularly if you are wearing black (Wear something bright or reflective and carry a torch). Have a fully charged mobile phone (if you have one) If no one answers a door, please just walk away no tricking as this could lead to claims of anti-social behaviour. We hope that everyone who participates has a good evening and that they get a good haul of goodies to share.
