Good News from Your Local Pleck Policing Team 

Officers were executing warrants, combating retail crime, targeting dangerous drivers and tackling anti-social behaviour.

Extra police resources were in place across the borough during the day of intensified activity, as we deliver 24 hours of intensive policing - focussing on the issues that matter to you.

Op Advance is a force-wide operation which rotates across areas within the West Midlands and this month it was Walsall's turn.

Activity started, with officers heading out to arrest suspects wanted for a range of offences. Also on the day, we targeted organised and violent crime, road safety, anti-social behaviour and business crime.

Our existing Walsall teams were bolstered with specialist officers and staff from other departments to further act on issues impacting residents and businesses.

A lot of activity also working alongside our partners in the community and engaging with residents and visitors to the town.

The day was a success with several arrests made a number of stop and searches and affective disruption to criminal and anti-social behaviour.

A reminder from us that we are fast approaching the clocks going back and the early darker nights. It’s a time to be vigilant regarding home security, vehicle safety and security and your own personal safety when travelling around the region.
