Motor Vehicle Interference - Ickenham overnight |
Reports are coming in to Ickenham Neighbourhood Watch of an individual undertaking Vehicle Interference (Criminal Attempts Act 1981, Section 9) in the early hours of this morning Wednesday 22 October. There are specific sightings on Swakeleys Road between Derwent Avenue and Breakspear Road South between 0115hrs and 0125hrs approx. The individual is described as a bearded male, wearing a blue quilted type jacket. Action required please: Have you had anything taken from your vehicle overnight, or do you have CCTV of any Vehicle Interference attempts anywhere across the Ward? The suspect is likely to have come from the direction of the pump prior to 0115hrs, and in the Breakspear Road South/Harvil Road area after 0125hrs but this is speculative and they may have taken several paths or been active for a much wider time. If so please report these using the methods outlined below and then email your local Neighbourhood Watch team at ickenhamnhw@gmail.com with the Crime Reference.
Crime Prevention advice: The advice is simple - NEVER leave anything as a gift to criminals in your vehicle when unattended, and ALWAYS remember to check that your car is locked. If you do both of these things as part of your vehicle parking routine then the activity of the thieves will be consistently disrupted and they will not see your area as productive use of their time.
Reporting CrimeThe Metropolitan Police and Hillingdon Neighbourhood Watch ask you to please report ALL crime - 999 in an emergency or if the crime is actually in progress, otherwise 101, online or via the POLICE.UK app (Android, Apple) - describe your location accurately, and consider using what3words to describe your exact location - you can install the App on your mobile and this method is recognised by the emergency services. | ||
