Elmdon round up |
||
Good morning Elmdon, Hope you are getting on well with the Wednesday hump. Yesterday was the last of our working set of days and as usual (as usual as I can make it), please see below a small report on our work for the last working set.
Due to the investigative work of the LEOS, our colleagues on response arrested 2x prolific shoplifters that had been hitting the area. In addition to that, we managed to arrest one ourselves when conducting patrols in the local area. These last few working days have been heavily focused on arresting and dealing with shoplifters in the local area.
Additionally, we have received no reports of any offroad bikes in Elmdon park. We will continue to patrol when we can. However please make sure you are reporting in when these are present in the park. Unfortunately, I have to report that two cars were stolen in Elmdon. Both cases being similar where offenders have stolen the vehicle without having access to the keys. I am very sorry this is happening to residents and again share the advice of purchasing a faraday pouch/box to try and ensure your vehicle keys are not scanned. They are not a full proof item, but will help to keep your keyless start vehicle safe.
Progress is going great for the new Elmdon Street Watch, we are looking to get started on planning our first walk. Thank you everyone that signed up. I will meet you face to face shortly. Once this is up and running, we will start recruiting for more.
One Last piece of advice below I head off, we have had some reports of “tradesmen” coming door to door offering to “fix” roofs. Please be cautious of door-to-door canvasing tradesmen, always do research and ensure you are hiring skilled and qualified individuals. Some vulnerable people have recently been caught out by these cowboy builder types.
As Always, please come and say hi when you see me out and about Dan | ||
