Swift Action and Community Care from Piccadilly Gardens Officers |
||
Yesterday afternoon, officers from the Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team demonstrated their dedication to keeping Manchester city centre safe while showing compassion and professionalism in the face of challenging situations.
During their afternoon shift, the team were first on scene at a medical emergency in the busy Piccadilly Gardens area, providing vital assistance until paramedics arrived. Their quick response and calm actions helped ensure the individual received the care they needed.
Later in the shift, officers made three arrests as part of their proactive patrols. One male was detained after being found in possession of a bladed article, while two others were arrested for breaching court-imposed bail conditions. The arrests form part of the team’s ongoing commitment to tackling knife crime and ensuring offenders are held accountable.
Sergeant Jon Wyatt, of the Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team, praised the officers for their work:
“This was a great example of the balance our officers strike every day – showing care and compassion in a medical emergency while also taking swift action against those who pose a risk to the community. I’m proud of how the team handled a busy and challenging shift, keeping Piccadilly Gardens a safe place for everyone.”
The Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team continue to work closely with local partners, businesses, and the public to address issues that matter most to the community and maintain a visible, reassuring presence in the city centre. | ||
