| Staying safe this Halloween | ||
| Dear residents,
 With Halloween approaching, we want to make sure that everyone is safe and to remind you that some people in the community may feel intimidated and distressed and do not want to be visited by trick or treaters.
 It is important that people keep safe and below are some top tips to having a frightfully good time:
 Adults should always accompany younger children and older children/teenagers should stay in a group Do not knock on stranger's doors. Only go to people you know Don’t enter any house when trick or treating, stay on the doorstep Always keep to well lit areas with streetlights if possible. Be visible and wear bright clothing. Take a torch just in case Don’t wear masks that restrict your vision. You need to see when crossing roads. Remember road safety Don’t knock on doors where you see a ‘No trick or treat callers’ sign Unless pre-arranged, do not visit elderly or vulnerable members of the community Keep your tricks within the law. Anything that results in damage is an offence
