Did You See us? 

Over the past two mornings, your Safer Neighbourhood Team have been out and about in Shifnal, Albrighton, and Sheriffhales, running Operations Ankara and Aurora — targeting speeding and anti-social driving.
 

You asked, we listened.
 

Thanks to your feedback on social media, we’ve been focusing on the times and locations that matter most to you — including those early morning hours when the roads are just waking up.
 

Speed Checks Completed:
Monday:

Haughton Road, Shifnal – Average speed: 24.4mph
Newport Road, Albrighton (Fire Station) – Average speed: 28.4mph

Tuesday:

High Street, Albrighton – Average speed: 22.8mph
Newport Road, Albrighton (Fire Station) – Average speed: 29.21mph
Sheriffhales – Average speed: 24.95mph

All checks were carried out between 07:20 and 08:30 — yes, we do rise and shine early!
 

Over 1,000 vehicles were checked, with 49 letters sent to registered keepers for offences including:

And while we were out, we spoke to plenty of early risers — and saw more than a few well-behaved dogs enjoying their morning walks. We’re not saying they were the best behaved on the roads… but they certainly weren’t speeding!
