Speed enforcement activity

Today we have been on the main road in Trefonen, where there is a permanent Vehicle Activated Sign (VAS). The sign is a fantastic visual deterrent, especially when there is a marked Police vehicle by it!

Today there were no incidents of speeding noted.

Road safety concerns, in particular speeding, are consistently raised by our local communities.

Speeding can have a devastating impact on the safety of road users, increasing the risk of a collision and the severity of the consequences. If prosecuted for speeding, the minimum penalty is a £100 fine and 3 penalty points.

Enforcing the speed limit is a 24/7 activity for us so don’t risk it.
