Bonfire Night, and watching firework displays, can be a fun and exciting time for everyone, but it's important to stay safe and be aware of the dangers associated with fireworks. We would always encourage you to attend a professional firework display instead of setting them off at home. Be sure to give your neighbours notice that you will be setting off fireworks as the loud noises can be distressing for elderly residents, vulnerable people, and pets. Remember - fireworks can be used in the UK any time from 7am to 11pm. The exceptions are Bonfire night: 7am to midnight. If you are buying or handling fireworks for use at home, take a look at our safety tips: You must be 18+ to buy most fireworks.
