On Sunday 19th of October 2025 officers from Rushcliffe Neighbourhood Policing were joined by Gedling NPT officers who are members of the Nottinghamshire Police off road motorcycle team for patrols around East Leake, Gotham and Fairham Pasture. Due to reports in the West Leake hills area and the town of East Leake the officers patrolled East Leake and the bridleways and farm tracks between East Leake and the River Trent. The officers encountered an electric motorcycle in East Leake with two occupants who were not wearing any personal protective equipment the rider failed to stop for officers and due to the risk there were not permitted to pursue them. Local officers are still appealing to the public in east Leake to report who is riding these none road legal and potentially unroadworthy vehicles.
