Local Priorities - Road Safety Issues & Nuisance Vehicles

Good morning Resident,

Over the weekend I've been making attempts to deal with issues voted as priority problems by local residents. 

On the 18th October I've spotted a moving vehicle that had previously been brought to my attention by local residents. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was reported for driving a car in a dangerous condition. An examination of the vehicle has taken place and restrictions were placed on the car and it should only be driven on public roads once the extensive repair work had been completed. 

And at midday on the 19th October, Kent Police received a call regarding nuisance vehicles in the play field off Scrapsgate. PC Kinrade and I have attended and spoken to those at the location who were directed to leave. The involved parties were issued Sec 59 warnings and have been notified that if they are involved in anti-social behaviour in any vehicle for the next 12 months, then police will seize the vehicle they are in. 

I am also aware that the October half-term holidays have started so I will trying my hardest to deal with any anti-social behaviour that is reported.
