Local Priorities Shoplifting Update

I wanted to provide you an update regarding Shoplifting, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Operation Zoridon: Tackling the Sale of Illegal or stolen Goods


Officers from the Greenford Broadway Safer Neighbourhoods Team, supported by colleagues from the Central Task Force, recently took part in Operation Zoridon — an initiative focused on identifying and tackling shops involved in the sale of illegal or stolen products.

During the operation, officers visited two stores on and near Greenford Broadway. While no stolen goods were found, the team discovered five large sacks of illegal vapes, which were seized.

This operation demonstrates the team’s continued commitment to working with partners to ensure businesses operate within the law and to protect the community from the sale of illicit products.
