Here’s a brief snippet of what our Smethwick Neighbourhood Team have been up to this week: What’s been happening Smethwick Town officers arrested and charged two males for Drink Driving. Smethwick Officers have arrested a male for Racially Aggravated harassment, assault police and possession of offensive weapon. St Paul PCSO visited West Bromwich Albion Football club to meet with staff and update them about patrols conducted within the area. PCSO’S have been patrolling Birmingham Street and engaging with the local community around Greggs detecting and preventing Anti-Social Behaviour. Smethwick Town Officers have been patrolling Cape Hill talking to residents and business owners to get a better understanding of local issues helping with detecting and preventing crime. Smethwick Town Officers have been patrolling West End Avenue for reassurance as there has been parking issues stopping locals from gaining access to their homes. PCSO’s have visited St Paul's Church West Smithwick Methodist Church Seventh Day Adventist they where very happy and welcoming. PCSO’s have been to the Mosques to give reassurance, also to lets the Imams know of who their Designated Police Officers are. Smethwick Officers have had a street walk in the St Pauls area around Oxford Street area no issues found but spoken to local residence no issues to report at this time. Bearwood Town PCSO’s have had a Cuppa with a copper at Costa Coffee Smethwick Town Officers have visited our local Retail shop visits to discuss crime prevention. |
