Community Update – Arrest Made in Rear Windscreen Wiper Offences

PC Samuel Pike from the South Croydon and Park Hill & Whitgift Safer Neighbourhood Teams has arrested a male suspect believed to be responsible for a series of criminal damage offences targeting rear windscreen wipers across South Croydon, Fairfield, and Waddon Wards.

The arrest took place last night on Dean Road, where officers on patrol identified the individual following recent CCTV footage linking him to multiple incidents. He is also being investigated for harassment, including dumping rubbish and other items at a residential address on St Peter’s Road, and for obstructing police during the investigation.

The suspect has been released on bail pending further enquiries, with strict conditions in place to support the investigation.
