Operation Martello

Operation Martello is a Home Office funded operation to tackle violence in and around Croydon Town Centre. 

Since the launch of the operation in July, results have been promising. 

There have been 34 arrests for a range of offences including 7 for possession of offensive weapons, 2 for violent offences and 2 for VAWG offences.

There have also been 176 stop and searches resulting in multiple outcomes such as arrests, fines and community resolutions.

Operation Martello is continuing into this quarter where we will look to implement a range of tactics to protect the community.
